#015: Yahoo! Winkles Update is Moving
I'm sure many of you were wondering if there would ever be a #015 post, weren't you? I admit, I have really fallen off with my ability to keep this weblog updated. I am learning that keeping steady content posted that people enjoy reading is not always easy. There's actually a bit of pressure involved with this!
Well, trust me when I say I haven't been doing "nothing." I have actually tried to post to this site several times. In recent posts, I've started including pictures. I think the pictures add a bit more to the writing. However, what I'm finding out is that the pictures are not very easy to add! Sometimes, it will add the picture without an issue. Other times, it will try and try and try... with no success. The bad news is that when it decides it can't post the picture, it also decides to delete all the written content. Argh!
I have finally gotten so tired of this that I've decided to try another weblog site. This time, I'm choosing something with a larger name. Hopefully, the larger name will equate to better service, but who knows? So, what's the name?
Yahoo!
Yep, I'm joining the borg. You can now find updates at http://360.yahoo.com/rogerwinkles. Please make a notes of it. The nice thing about this new site is that it allows me to link my Yahoo! Photo Albums directly to the site. Now, you can read and look at pictures. If my writing bores you (like I'm sure it is now), you can spend some time looking at what an awful photographer I am.
At some point, I may even get smart and include pictures in my weblog (like I've done with this site). Hopefully, I'll figure out how to do that on Yahoo!, because I really liked that feature here. I just wish I could trust that each time I do it here that it doesn't erase all my text.
So anyway, I now bid you farewell from this site and I encourage you to start pointing your browsers to the new site. I don't know how you can subscribe to this site, because now it's asking for RSS feeds. This is an entirely new arena for me, and possibly for you. Perhaps we'll all learn the new technology together, right!
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you again at http://360.yahoo.com/rogerwinkles.
Until next time...
